What this blog is about.

This blog is about World War II. Specifically, it is about the Commanders, the men, the campaigns, vehicles, aircraft, ships, boats, it is about war.

World War Two was the worlds bloodiest and most costly war. It is hard to say World War Two did not involve the whole world. America was fighting two Campaigns by the time D-Day came. The Pacific, again'st the Japanese, and Europe, again'st Germany and Italy. Both fronts saw bloody conflict. Britain had long been at odds with Germany since WWI, and now had come the time when Germany was ready for revenge. It started with the "Phony War" and ended with the destruction and death of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. In the Pacific, which began with Pearl Harbor, the surprise attack on December 7th, 1941, a "Day which will live in Infamy", and ended with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

This blog is for the purpose of writing about all of these events. WWII was about the world. It was about Freedom. And in the end Freedom was won, at the cost of the brave men, and women, who fought and died for it. As the veterans die, we must honor them all, dead and alive, by keeping what happened during that bloody conflict alive, so that it will never be forgotten. World War Two was the world Bloodiest War. And that is what this blog is about.
